Cancellation and refunds

One button, any time, no retention flow. Plus the statutory 14-day right, the three things that end it, a fresh 14 days after every renewal that the law does not yet require, and the model form.

LAST CHANGED 5 SEPTEMBER 2026

01

How do I cancel?

Open your billing settings and press Cancel subscription. That is the whole procedure. It takes effect immediately, and access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

You will not be asked to telephone anyone, to email support, to explain yourself, or to decline three offers on the way out. Cancelling is exactly as many steps as subscribing was — one — and that is a commitment, not a current implementation detail.

If for any reason the button does not work for you, write to support@simplyhosieryonline.shop or ring +44 1676 535432 and we will do it for you. That is a fallback, not the route.

02

Is there a 14-day right to cancel?

Yes, under regulation 29 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, for 14 days from the day the contract is made.

Because access to a paid tier begins straight away rather than after 14 days, regulation 37 provides that the right ends once all three of the following have happened:

  1. you expressly agreed that the service should begin during the cancellation period;
  2. you acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel once it had begun;
  3. we confirmed both of those back to you on a durable medium — which is the confirmation email.

The first two are separate tick boxes at checkout. Neither is ticked for you, neither can be satisfied by ticking the other, and the server checks both again before a subscription is opened. If any of the three steps is missing, your 14-day right stands in full. If we failed to tell you about the right at all, regulation 31 extends it to twelve months and fourteen days.

03

And after a renewal?

We give you a fresh 14-day cancellation window after every renewal, and we send a reminder before each renewal falls due — as its own email, containing the subscription details and how to cancel, with no marketing in it. For a yearly subscription that is one reminder a year; for a monthly one it accompanies each cycle.

Neither of those is required of us today. They anticipate the subscription rules in Part 4 Chapter 2 of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which are expected to come into force in spring 2027. We have chosen to work to them now. We describe this as voluntary early adoption because that is what it is, and not as a current legal obligation.

04

When do I get money back?

Within the statutory period

If you cancel while the 14-day right still applies, you get a full refund within 14 days of telling us, to the method you paid with. Where you asked for the service to start immediately and then cancel inside the period, we may keep a proportionate amount for what you actually used, and we will show you that calculation.

Outside it

A cancellation stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period, and access continues until that period ends. We do not refund part-used periods as a matter of course.

When we will refund anyway

  • The service did not work — a reading failed, or the site was unavailable for a meaningful part of your period. Write to us; we do not make you argue.
  • You were charged after cancelling. Refunded in full, without being asked twice.
  • You were charged more than the price shown on the pricing page. Refunded in full.
  • We closed your account for a reason that was not your fault. The unused part is refunded.

None of this displaces your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where the digital content is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for a purpose you told us about, or not as described. Those rights include repair or replacement and then a price reduction, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

05

Is anything shipped to me?

No. This is a digital service delivered in your browser: there is nothing to post, nothing to deliver, no shipping charge and no return address for goods. The treatment sheet is something you print yourself, at home, from the reading.

06

What if we disagree about a charge?

Write to support@simplyhosieryonline.shop before disputing it with your card issuer. We answer within one working day and, in most cases, refunding is faster than arguing.

If we cannot settle it between us, your right to bring a claim in the courts is unaffected. There is no general obligation in the United Kingdom for a trader to name an alternative dispute resolution body, and we have not joined any such scheme; we say so plainly rather than implying a route that does not exist.

07

Where is the statutory cancellation form?

Below. You do not have to use it — an email saying you want to cancel is enough, and the button in your billing settings is faster than either. It is reproduced here because Schedule 3 to the 2013 Regulations requires that it be available to you.
